| The Korrika is a massive run that takes starts at one end of the Basque Country and ends at the other over a period of a couple weeks. It was started by the academy where I study Basque, and the intention is in part to raise funds for adult language learning and partly to promote the use of the language. "Eusk Ahal Dun" is a play on words-"Euskaldun" is the name that Basque speakers have for themselves, and it means "one who has the Basque language". "Ahal" means "to be able". |
