Ttipi Ttapa Ttipi Ttapa Adarra

Adarra is a popular hike to make on New Year's Day. It isn't that far, but in parts it's awfully steep.
See if you can spot the Wild Forest Cow in its own habitat.
A dolmen, or burial ring, probably from the Bronze Age.
Flowers in early March. That's right.

That's Donostia over there.
Mountain home.
Not sure why they were all pruned like this, but aesthetically, I think it works, if you're going for Creepy At Night.
The Korrika is a massive run that takes starts at one end of the Basque Country and ends at the other over a period of a couple weeks. It was started by the academy where I study Basque, and the intention is in part to raise funds for adult language learning and partly to promote the use of the language. "Eusk Ahal Dun" is a play on words-"Euskaldun" is the name that Basque speakers have for themselves, and it means "one who has the Basque language". "Ahal" means "to be able".
A magnolia blooming on part of the Lasarte-Oria route.

The woman with the camera is my tutor. The woman with the mic is the academy director, and she is yelling, over and over and over again "Ttipi ttapa ttipi ttapa korrika!" to get people to keep running, which, given the topography, of course involves some altitude.
Runners on Main Street.
